The position of Mechanical Engineer Technician is available in a leading Power Transmission solutions provider for the mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on fixed plant gearboxes and drive assemblies, rebuilding and refurbishing equipment to meet clients' needs, adhering to safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining accurate records and documentation of work performed, possessing a trade background in fitter turner or machinist, holding 2-3 years workshop overhaul experience, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, exhibiting good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on assembling fixed plant gearboxes and drive assemblies
  • Rebuild and refurbish equipment to meet clients' needs
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed
  • Possess a trade background in fitter turner or machinist
  • Hold 2-3 years workshop overhaul experience
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exhibit good communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
