Job Title:

Sunshine Coast Mental Health Leader

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities:

  • Lead a team of Family Support Workers in delivering high-quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager to provide leadership, practice development and mentoring sessions to team members.
  • Support the administration functions of the Centre Manager as required.

About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Service Leader. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our service to deliver exceptional outcomes for young people and their families/carers.

Key Requirements:

  1. Minimum of Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services or related discipline (ideally completed Diploma or Bachelors).
  2. Experience working with people experiencing mental illness/disability.
  3. Ability to think calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people.
  4. Demonstrate effective listening, communication skills, empathy, and capacity to relate with others with dignity and respect.
  5. Proficiency in use of computer and Microsoft office.
  6. Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance and Blue Card.
