Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of food processing and packaging equipment.

The role will involve attending machine breakdown calls, installing machines, attachments, parts, and equipment, and ensuring operation in accordance with contracted guarantees.

Additionally, the Service Engineer will instruct customer personnel in proper set-up, operating, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair practices, conduct training after installation/commissioning as directed, and survey machines to determine and recommend repairs, parts replacements, updating, or rebuilding to place in efficient operating condition.

As a Service Engineer, you will work closely with the Service Team Leader to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of food processing and packaging equipment
  • Attend machine breakdown calls and quickly resolve equipment faults
  • Install machines, attachments, parts, and equipment and ensure operation in accordance with contracted guarantees
  • Instruct customer personnel in proper set-up, operating, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair practices
  • Conduct training after installation/commissioning as directed
  • Survey machines to determine and recommend repairs, parts replacements, updating, or rebuilding to place in efficient operating condition
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in the installation and support of food processing/industrial equipment.

Essential qualifications include a QLD unrestricted Electrical License, previous electrical & mechanical troubleshooting experience, field service experience, a valid Australian drivers license, a high standard of performance for self & others with excellent attention to detail, willingness to take action beyond specific explicit job responsibilities, and ability to fit into a team and keen to ensure excellent working relationships.
