Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring critical care services.\
  • Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care.\
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing staff members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.\
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to enhance their understanding of their condition and treatment plan.\
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory standards.\
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices.\
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.\
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.\
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.\\

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).\
  • A postgraduate certificate in Intensive Care/CCU or working towards it.\
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.\
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.\
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\
  • Commitment to quality patient care and adherence to ACQSHC national standards.\\
