Leadership Opportunity in Autism Education

Australia's largest autism-specific school program is seeking a visionary leader to head its educational services. As the School Principal, you will be responsible for fostering a positive work culture and leading a team of dedicated educators.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing teams, securing funding, and building collaborative relationships with community stakeholders. They will also possess strong computer skills, financial management abilities, and a proven track record of professional practice.

The successful applicant will be asked to provide their statements of service to calculate their remuneration step level.

About the Role

This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the education landscape for students on the autism spectrum. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Aspect Comprehensive Approach (ACA) and promoting family-focused and person-centred approaches in all aspects of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a school culture that demonstrates Aspect's Mission, Vision and Values
  • Work within a team, using a person-centred approach, to implement the ACA
  • Provide expert educational leadership to the school to ensure every student is developing the necessary skills to positively engage in their current and future environments

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in successfully managing and developing teams in the education sector
  • A proven ability working with government and corporate sector to secure funding
  • Demonstrated experience building collaborative and effective relationships with community stakeholders
  • Professional experience working with children with an autism or a related disorder
