Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our building services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in electrical design and project management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in leading small to medium-sized design projects. You will be required to work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and maintain clear communication throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Design Leadership: Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring best practice delivery while managing costs and timelines.
  • Project Management: Lead small and medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Best Practices and Cost Optimization: Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality.
  • Client Relationship Development: Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering;
  • Strong expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation;
  • 6 to 10+ years' industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment;
  • Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector - experience on rail/train station projects will be highly regarded.
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
  • Capacity to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes;
  • Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP (advantageous).
  • Ability to drive business development and recognize new opportunities for growth.
