The Market Management department is currently seeking a seasoned Regulatory Analyst to join the team in this strategic role.
- This key position sits within the Prudentials team and involves various responsibilities, including:
- Working independently on default and suspension events under market rules
- Contributing to the development of internal policies and procedures that align with industry best practices
- Preparing risk reports and regulatory reports
- Investigating potential non-compliance with market regulations
- Representing AEMO positions at industry forums
- Ensuring internal operational processes are aligned and executed according to market rules and production cycles
- Supporting the delivery of industry reform projects through interpretation of market rules
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum degree qualification in a relevant discipline
- Strong work experience in the Energy sector, preferably with relevant (Market/Regulatory/Legal) experience in related industries
- Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw and articulate conclusions from various data inputs
- Experience working in a legal, compliance, and rules-based setting
- A sound understanding of energy market structures, such as NEM or WEM, with knowledge of settlement or prudentials processes being an advantage
