Position Overview: The Senior Environmental Approvals Consultant plays a pivotal role in enhancing environmental sustainability within the organization. Key Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Approvals:
    • Craft and present environmental approvals documentation.
    • Guarantee environmental compliance throughout asset transitions.
  2. Strategic Governance:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with essential external stakeholders.
    • Assist research initiatives with expert guidance and technical insights.
    • Execute quality assurance and quality control processes on documentation.
  3. Asset Planning and Operations:
    • Deliver technical advice on environmental risks during asset acquisition.
    • Ensure environmental factors are incorporated into business decisions.
    • Provide technical support and guidance for operational activities.
  4. Leadership and Organizational Culture:
    • Encourage safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
    • Promote a team environment characterized by openness and trust.
    • Engage in mentoring and professional development initiatives.
  5. Ethics and Compliance:
    • Adhere to relevant legislation, regulatory standards, and corporate policies.
    • Maintain the organization's Code of Conduct and other ethical standards.
Essential Qualifications
  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in environmental processes and geographic information systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental approvals and compliance frameworks.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the Australian water sector, particularly in wastewater management.
  • Understanding of the environmental management principles and practices of the Water Corporation.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Full working rights within Australia.
  • Current or willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing if selected.
