Job Title: Regulatory Engagement Specialist Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Regulatory Engagement Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for investigating and managing Compliance incidents, enhancing stakeholder relationships, and coordinating correspondence with relevant regulators.

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with the business and its regulators. Your strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively will enable you to make a significant impact on our operations.

The ideal candidate will have prior compliance experience, preferably in Commercial/Business Banking, and a deep understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing the financial services industry.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting regulatory engagement across Business Banking by collaborating with key stakeholders, including Line 1 colleagues, Compliance teams, and other groups within the Group.
  • Monitoring and reporting regulatory obligations, ensuring timely delivery of information to regulators.
  • Working closely with various stakeholders, obtaining validation and approvals from senior management, and delivering results within set timelines.
  • Reviewing documents, data, and responses provided by the business to ensure they meet regulatory requirements, offering constructive feedback to guarantee consistency with both regulatory expectations and the Group's Regulatory Engagement Standard.
  • Providing regulatory compliance guidance based on an in-depth understanding of Business Banking's strategy, products, and processes.
  • Facilitating cross-team regulatory forums to foster a unified approach to regulatory engagement across the Group.
  • Preparing compliance inputs for Risk and Compliance Committees.
  • Advocating for customer-centric solutions.
  • Assisting business stakeholders with remediation activities.
  • Supporting stakeholders within Business Banking, other Business Units, and Group functions.
  • Ensuring efficient Compliance operations and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills, enabling clear articulation of commercial, regulatory, and customer implications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking, solid business acumen, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
