Bartender Role Overview

Oak View Group is a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for serving all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, while maintaining excellent guest service and interacting with colleagues.

This role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work events as scheduled per business need.

Bartenders must demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, uniform standards, and responsible alcohol service.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available, and be able to suggestively upsell products to guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service and interact with colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Serve beverages following proper procedures, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
  • Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
  • Check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, respond to requests or concerns, and de-escalate intoxicated guest situations.
  • Contact management if unable to resolve situations beyond standard decision-making.
  • Handle cash accurately and request additional product or restock as required.
