Early Intervention Mental Health Specialist
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced mental health professional to join our holistic early intervention team.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide comprehensive assessment and management of young people with mental health problems in the critical early phase of illness.
- To reduce the duration of untreated psychosis and limit its impact on quality of life.
- To foster hope and maximize recovery through proactive engagement and initiation of clinical therapies.
- To work in partnership with other agencies to provide psychosocial interventions aiming for maximal symptomatic and functional recovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist (including registration) or as a Social Worker, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
- Understanding of and commitment to recovery-oriented services for young people.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in comprehensive assessment and management of complex cases.
- Experience working with young people with co-morbidity, substance use problems, and complex needs.
