About the role

Support Affected Family Members during their court process. Assess applicants' immediate nonlegal needs, conduct risk assessments and safety planning, and provide applicants with information and referrals to external service providers as needed.

Establish and maintain relationships and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Judiciary, Court Registrars and community-based organisations. Utilise the MARAM framework and share risk-relevant information under the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme.

Key qualifications and skills
  • Tertiary qualification in a related therapeutic discipline such as social work, psychology or social sciences
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Family Violence
  • Sound skills in the provision of support, crisis containment and risk assessment
  • Sound stakeholder engagement skills
