The role of an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist requires effective management of financial transactions across both accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently to ensure timely payments while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage accounts receivable functions including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments.
  • Maintain vendor and customer accounts resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Analyse financial reports related to accounts payable and accounts receivable as required.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts based on accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles ideally in a fast-paced environment is required.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero is preferred and MS Office particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
