About the Role

The Service Person Driver is a critical link between Kennards Hire branches, customers, and their projects. As the Kennards Hire representative, you will support customers with expert advice, pickups, deliveries, and equipment preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct and demonstrate equipment usage to customers, ensuring safe operation.
  • Perform pickups and deliveries of equipment, safely loading and unloading equipment from customer sites.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions, meeting customer needs and expectations.
  • Maintain equipment quality through regular servicing and minor repairs.
  • Clean branch facilities and perform equipment maintenance as required.
  • Conduct equipment 'check in' and 'check out' inspections.

About You

  • Applicants from various backgrounds, such as customer service, building and construction, hospitality, retail, driving, landscaping, trade, and maintenance, are encouraged to apply.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Availability to work weekends on a rotating roster is necessary.
  • Physical fitness is required, including lifting and standing for long periods, and the ability to pass a drug test.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, keen-to-learn attitude are essential.
  • An interest in machinery and equipment is beneficial, although training will be provided.
  • A positive attitude and team player mindset are required.
