Lead Wine Connoisseur & Restaurant Manager

Evra, a dining and wellness destination, seeks an exceptional leader to helm its wine program. Nestled in the Long Island Precinct of Newstead, our modern restaurant embodies the essence of fine Australian produce.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of passionate wine enthusiasts, shaping the wine program with their expertise and vision. Responsibilities include curating and maintaining an exceptional wine list that showcases diverse varietals and highlights unique terroirs.

As Lead Wine Connoisseur & Restaurant Manager, you will oversee inventory control, staff training on wine service, and ensure impeccable standards of wine presentation and service. You will also collaborate with the Venue Manager to manage the restaurant operation with integrity and commitment to deliver outstanding service and quality.

This role provides the opportunity to lead from the front and create a memorable, authentic, and exceptional dining experience that aligns with Evra's core values and mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Venue Manager to create a restaurant experience that consistently exceeds guest expectations.
  • Curate a beverage program that is profitable and over-delivers on guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure opening, preparation, service, and closing standards meet company brand standards and policy.
  • Engage with guests, providing information confidently and professionally, and answering beverage questions.
  • Provide honest and open performance feedback and support your team to achieve better results.
  • Monitor, coach, and support your team with passion and fun.
  • Encourage individuality, innovation, and initiative in your team members.
About Our Rooftop Urban Farm:

Our rooftop urban farm is located on the highest level of TotalFusion Platinum (TFP), encompassing nearly 2000sqm and featuring approximately 40 crop variations, chickens for natural fertilisation, a bee colony for pollination, and a worm farm and composting for food scraps.
