Early Childhood Teacher Role

Sparrow Early Learning seeks a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join their vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified educator to design and implement interdisciplinary learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality kindergarten programs in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create engaging educational programs, including community excursions and in-house activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification and VIT Registration.
  • Proven experience working with 3 & 4-year-old kindergarten programs.
  • High-level knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Current Working with Children check.
  • First Aid and CPR certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
  • Experience working with children of various abilities and interests.

As an Early Childhood Teacher at Sparrow Early Learning, you will be responsible for designing and implementing play-based learning experiences that incorporate language, literacy, maths, science, and technology, aligned with curriculum goals and frameworks. You will also advocate for inclusive, equitable pedagogical practices that respect diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

This role requires a strong passion for Early Childhood Education & Care, critical thinking about the Early Years Learning Frameworks, and excellent documentation and administrative skills. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the National Quality Standard relating to Educational Program and Practice.
