We are seeking an experienced and nurturing leader to oversee a thriving 120-place early learning service in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
This is a leadership role with a hands-on focus, requiring key responsibilities such as:
- Guiding and mentoring educators, setting short- and long-term goals for teaching staff, providing feedback, and inspiring a culture of reflective practice.
- Ensuring quality and compliance by overseeing pedagogy, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and regulatory requirements.
- Managing operations, including developing future enrolment pipelines, monitoring financial performance, and maintaining a revenue-generating business.
- Engaging with families and the community by building positive relationships, communicating openly with parents about their child's progress, and representing the centre professionally.
- Driving continuous improvement by leading quality improvement plans (QIP), incorporating the latest best practices in early childhood education, and championing inclusive practices.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in early childhood (ACECQA equivalent).
- Experience as a Centre Director/Manager (ideally 2+ years) and proven ability to manage change and drive high-quality programs.
- Strong financial acumen, organisational skills, and knowledge of state regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to inspire educators, connect with families, and work collaboratively with specialists.
- A commitment to inclusive practices, diversity, and ongoing professional growth.
