Executive Leader Opportunity

The role involves strategic leadership and hands-on involvement, ensuring that both the big picture and daily details are delivered to a high standard. The Executive Leader will report directly to the Board and hold full responsibility for our operations and financial performance.

This is a broad, varied role where one day you might be focusing on financial performance and stakeholder relationships, and the next you're working with the team to deliver programs, experiences, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our strategic direction, financial performance, and reporting to the Board.
  • Manage and support a multi-disciplinary team across various functions.
  • Oversee budgets, compliance, and governance obligations.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Drive membership growth, program participation, and community engagement.
  • Foster a positive, values-driven culture that empowers staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining focus on long-term sustainability and growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Senior management experience, ideally in sport, community, fitness, or a related sector.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and reporting at Board level.
  • A proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to engage in operational needs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
