Full-Time Cybersecurity Academic Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced cybersecurity academic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in the field of cybersecurity.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team to deliver innovative and industry-focused education programs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver lectures, seminars, forums, workshops, and tutorials using innovative learning and teaching practices.
  • Prepare, review, and update teaching materials as identified by the Program Director or in response to quality measures.
  • Draft, review, and update assessment tools, set and mark assessments and examination papers where needed.
  • Conduct student assessment and ensure academic processes are adhered to assess student submissions throughout the study period providing good quality feedback in keeping with policy.
Requirements
  • A PhD in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related fields (minimum qualification).
  • At least three years of relevant industry experience.
  • A demonstrated track record of high-quality teaching in cybersecurity, Information technology, or related fields.
  • A demonstrated commitment to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to personal growth and continuous professional development.
  • A high service ethos towards students to support their learning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
