Newborn Hearing Screening Opportunity
Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Newborn Hearing Screener.
Clinically screen newborn babies in the first days of life for hearing loss prior to their discharge home using Automated Auditory Brainstem Response (AABR) testing with AABR machinery.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lifelong difference in the lives of newborns and their families.
About the RoleThis permanent part-time position is available immediately. The successful applicant will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
About UsWestern Sydney Local Health District is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care to people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.
Key Selection Criteria- Experience in working with mothers and newborns.
- Positive and enthusiastic manner and ability to work independently under direction and seek guidance and supervision as required.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and write English to an acceptable standard with clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team, enhancing the capability and contribution of the team.
- Demonstrated high level computer skills such as IPM & EMR.
- Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
