Job Opportunity
This is an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of technical standards and projects that support our transition to renewable energy across remote electricity networks.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Acting as a technical authority on hybrid renewable and diesel power systems, leveraging expert knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage distribution networks, switchgear, earthing and protection systems, PLC/RTU architectures, communications networks, and SCADA systems.
- Providing high-level advice on complex projects, including delivering and/or operating renewable hybrid power stations, and providing strategic technical advice to stakeholders.
- Overseeing the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects, requiring a proven ability to think strategically and creatively, analyse complex problems, and provide advice at both strategic and operational levels.
- Ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and efficiency objectives, utilising highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills to liaise, influence, and negotiate effectively.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Electric Power Engineering, providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field such as sustainable development, renewables, or another engineering discipline are also desirable.
Benefits Package
The remuneration package includes a salary range of $110,696 - $120,470 per annum, plus superannuation, and is classified as a PO4 position.
