About the Role

Feros Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Local Area Coordinator to join our team in the Whitsundays. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disability to access and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans that support people with disability to achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Provide guidance and support to people with disability to build capacity and explore options for self-direction, self-management, and self-advocacy
  • Connect people with disability and their families with mainstream services and community resources
  • Build and maintain positive partnerships with community organizations and service providers
  • Contribute to the development of community partnerships that support capacity building and accessibility
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in disability, allied health, or community services, or lived experience with disability or caring for someone with disability
  • Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed KPIs and targets
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of team members, in person and virtually
  • IT savvy, with experience using CRM and Microsoft suite
  • A person-centered approach to outcomes, confidentiality, and professional integrity
  • Unrestricted driver's license
