Role Overview

The Therapeutic Services program focuses on the emotional, psychological, behavioural, and social well-being of children impacted by trauma.

About the Position:
  • This role provides direct therapeutic support and intervention to understand, respond to and support children and young people who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviours & experienced sexual assault.
  • The role also has a clinical leadership focus with regard to the development and implementation of appropriate therapeutic support for children and young people within their particular care setting, including out of home care, and works closely with professionals and carers to develop trauma-informed therapeutic approaches to support children and young people.

A qualified professional with substantial experience in the area of children abuse and/or working with traumatised children is required. Strong assessment skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to improving themselves through ongoing learning and reflection are essential for success in this position.
