Michael Page is a leading recruitment agency that connects talented professionals with top companies. We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team.
Job DescriptionAs a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for executing the procurement process for marketing-related categories, ensuring alignment with global strategies and objectives. You will work strategically with local suppliers in ANZ to deliver value across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Process Execution: Execute the procurement process for marketing-related categories, ensuring alignment with global strategies and objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders in ANZ and Asia to understand business needs and develop procurement strategies that deliver value across the region.
- Supplier Management: Identify, engage, and manage ANZ relationships with local suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation in procurement solutions.
- Cost Optimisation: Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality, ensuring efficient use of the $15 million spend.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with local suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions that align with global standards and expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and reliability.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement KPIs and performance metrics to track supplier performance, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Procure and provide products, services, and assets that represent the highest value in terms of price, quality, service, and delivery.
- Supplier Identification and Selection: Manage the identification and selection of preferred and approved suppliers according to price, delivery conditions, and quality of their products and/or services.
- Tender Process Facilitation: Facilitate the tender process for major suppliers.
- Contract Review: Review suppliers/vendors contracts.
- Supplier Performance Review: Manage the Preferred Supplier Performance Review process.
- Supplier Performance Reporting: Assist in the Supplier Performance reporting.
The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with a diverse stakeholder team and work to maximize the relationship with the global procurement team. You will also demonstrate:
- Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in mentoring or leading people, including performance management and driving KPIs.
- Contract Law Knowledge: Knowledge of contract law.
- Relationship Building: Possess the ability to develop strong influential relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Negotiation Skills: Above-average negotiation skills.
- Communication and Analytical Skills: Exceptional communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
- Indirect Procurement Experience: Have experience in indirect procurement categories like marketing, HR, consultancy.
