Teaching and Academic Support Role

We are seeking a skilled teaching professional to deliver high-quality education and support our students' academic success.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 6 hours of teaching per week in a 6-week block
  • Facilitate lectures, workshops, and tutorials on Data Wrangling and Python
  • Support student learning through consultations, guidance, and feedback
  • Manage and maintain academic integrity, quality, and currency
  • Mark and moderate assessments according to academic policies and standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with learning outcomes and consistent delivery across cohorts
  • Stay current with data analytics tools, practices, and industry trends
  • Engage in briefings and planning meetings as required
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • PhD (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in Python, including practical application of statistical analysis, data modelling, and reporting
  • Proven experience in tertiary-level teaching, with ability to deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment, particularly in foundational analytics or statistics subjects
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain academic quality and integrity in subject delivery
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to inclusive and student-centred learning, with focus on supporting academic success and retention
