Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal Tailings Engineer to join our team in Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne. This role focuses on supporting clients' tailings and mine waste management teams to ensure their facilities are safe and compliant with the latest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design;
  • Geotechnical analyses using various software packages;
  • Understanding of tailing deposition modelling (Muk3D)
  • Geotechnical and environmental site characterisation;
  • Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
  • Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
  • Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field;
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field preferred;
  • Professional registration preferred but not essential;
  • Engineer of Record (EoR) required;
  • At least 8 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software;
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment;
