Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, Implement, and Oversee Safety Plans and Policies: Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements by creating, implementing, and monitoring safety plans and policies.
  • Induction Training: Conduct comprehensive training for staff, subcontractors, and visitors to ensure thorough safety awareness.
  • Certification, Licenses, and Competencies: Verify the certification, licenses, and competencies of all site personnel to enhance OHS regulation compliance.
  • High-Risk Activity Approvals, Incident Investigations, Reporting, and Analysis: Lead high-risk activity approvals, conduct incident investigations, report and analyze incidents to mitigate future risks.
  • Site Audits and Inspections: Perform regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project management and site teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations effectively.
  • Safety Documentation: Manage comprehensive safety documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Expert OHS Advice: Offer expert OHS advice and support to project teams to aid in the effective management of safety risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Engage with regulatory bodies and safety consultants to ensure projects adhere to the highest safety standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Preventative Measures: Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a construction site safety role and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
