Plant Operator Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of mobile and fixed plant equipment at our site.

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operating mobile plant and equipment, with a focus on safety and productivity.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Safety First
    • Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the operation of the crushing plant.
    • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implementing controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operating mobile plant and equipment (Haul Truck, Excavator, and/or Front-End Loader) safely and efficiently.
    • Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Team Player
    • Collaborating with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
    • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Problem-Solving
    • Identifying and addressing operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maximize output.
    • Developing and implementing solutions to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with quarry operations and experience with Sales Loader would be advantageous.
  • A valid HR truck licence is desirable but not essential.
