About the Role

This is a hybrid position based in Brisbane, offering flexibility and autonomy to balance work and personal life. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, working on complex transactions and collaborations with clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in due diligence engagements related to the acquisition or disposal of businesses by private equity investors or strategic corporate buyers.
  • Analyse financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records, conducting interviews with management, and preparing/evaluating pro forma financial information.
  • Identify and analyse key value drivers to deliver financial and commercial insights, which directly impact deal value and deal structuring.
  • Based on your analysis, write up your findings and recommendations, and project manage information flows while managing key stakeholders.
  • Working with colleagues from other disciplines on multi-faceted projects in cross border environments.
  • Assist Partners and Directors with business development activities and initiatives, contributing to proposals and new business opportunities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics, along with membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants or an international equivalent. You should also demonstrate strong Excel skills and a high level of proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
