About the Role- This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across multiple brands and jurisdictions.
- The ideal candidate will support contract negotiations, privacy compliance, intellectual property management, and broader legal initiatives.
- The successful applicant will mentor junior legal team members and coordinate intern engagement.
- The successful candidate will review and negotiate commercial contracts.
- They will lead privacy assessments and embed privacy-by-design practices.
- Additionally, they will support IP portfolio management and deliver trademark/copyright training.
- The ideal candidate will provide clear, tailored legal advice across consumer law, compliance, and marketing.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams across marketing, loyalty, product, sourcing, and IT will be essential.
- 6-10 years PQE in private practice or in-house (or both).
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, privacy law, and IP is required.
- Australian Admission to practice is necessary.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities is crucial.
- Excellent communication, drafting, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
