Senior Trade Overseer

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to join our Engineering Business Unit at Hunter Correctional Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise inmates and staff in work-related activities within the correctional centre.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers and develop inmates through coaching, instructing, and encouraging them to improve their work skills and enhance their post-release employment prospects.
  • Manage, coach, instruct, and encourage inmates to contribute productively to Business Unit objectives.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in Engineering Trades, Metal Fabrication, Fitting/Machinist, or similar related Trades.
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes.
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
