About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our team at The Westin Perth. As a key member of our back-of-house operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation in all food and storage outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of crockery and kitchen implements
  • Clean and maintain the restaurants, kitchens, and all food outlets within the hotel, adhering to strict health and safety standards
  • Ensure storerooms are clean and tidy at all times, with a focus on organization and efficiency
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to provide excellent service to our guests, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
  • Assist with the smooth operation of the hotel's loading bay, including relocating deliveries and waste disposal bins, following safe manual handling practices

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation
  • A passion for providing exceptional service and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • A professional attitude and strong work ethic, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility
