About the Role

We're currently seeking an Infrastructure Specialist - Network to join our Information Technology department in Brisbane, QLD. This permanent onsite position offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier one constructor and international engineering enterprise.

As an Infrastructure Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our IT networking and security systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd level network support
  • Investigating causes of incidents and seeking resolution
  • Initiating and monitoring actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes, and services
  • Assisting with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
  • Establishing and maintaining operational processes in line with industry standards
  • Performing upgrades and replacements of network and security systems in accordance with Company policies
  • Testing, implementing, monitoring, and tuning networking and security software/hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues

You'll also be responsible for ensuring the design, provisioning, upgrading, capacity planning, and performance testing of network systems infrastructure, including data center, cloud, firewalls, WAF, and load balancers.

Additionally, you'll write and peer-review technical design documents, provide related documentation, and handover for a 2nd line incident response capability for network infrastructure operational issues.

About You

We're looking for an experienced IT professional with at least 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure roles. You'll need tertiary qualifications in IT or Microsoft certifications, and desirable experience in Cisco Wireless, DNAC, ISE, Firewalls, Forti Net, Velo Cloud Technologies, Azure hybrid networking, voice, and video conference systems.

Strong network administration skills, Cisco Certifications (CCNA), and a working knowledge of the ITIL v3 Framework are essential. A focus on customer service and business enablement, with a 'can-do' attitude, is also crucial.
