About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Buildability Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a critical role in providing expert cost management services across a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for various construction projects.
  • Cost Control and Reporting: Conduct regular cost reviews and provide detailed reports to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure accurate cost planning.
  • Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and other project documentation.
  • Value Engineering and Cost-Saving Initiatives: Provide support in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Project Variations and Claims: Monitor and manage project variations and claims.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Contribute to risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential financial risks.
About You
  • 1-3 years of post-graduation experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cost management principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, such as CostX, Buildsoft, or similar.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
