Key Role:

Early Intervention Specialist

This position involves overseeing treatment plans, return-to-work procedures and driving team outcomes to ensure employees are restored to their pre-injury activities efficiently.

About the Job:

  • Develop early intervention strategies with employer offices and have a clear understanding of each claim.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve claims and engage external mediation where required.
  • Coach Case Managers through early intervention on psych claims and strategic reviews.
  • Manage a small portfolio of claims and make contact with stakeholders to establish a return-to-work plan.

Responsibilities:

  1. Establish effective relationships with employer offices and manage priorities.
  2. Utilize a strategic approach to problem-solving.
  3. Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders through complex matters.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology or other allied health degrees is necessary.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in creating early intervention strategies and proactive return-to-work plans for psychological injuries within NSW worker compensation scheme is required.
