About this Speech Therapist Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to join our team as a Speech Therapist. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with families and children to support their communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children to achieve their developmental milestones in communication, including expressing wants and needs, and participating in daily activities
- Educate and involve parents, carers, and others around the child to promote communication and language development
- Help children develop clear and correct pronunciation so they can be understood by others
- Treat stuttering and articulation disorders to enable fluent and confident speech
- Collaborate with teachers and schools to address literacy, reading, and writing difficulties
- Teach children essential skills for managing food and drinks safely
