Job Title:

Business Analyst

  • A business analyst will be responsible for analyzing labour management programs and measuring against corporate benchmarks as well as industry standards.
  • This role devises, communicates and executes strategies and directions for property management, evaluating efforts to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the property's labour management.
  • The position implements plans for identified labour standardization opportunities in concert with operations managers.
  • This role develops an execution plan to implement long term goals for the property that become the basis for short term goals and annual operational planning.
  • The business analyst develops the appropriate objectives for each department's labour and directs the methodologies by which those objectives are going to be accomplished. Objectives synchronized with performance processes.
  • This role establishes procedures and processes in relation to labour management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, in hospitality or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in supervisory, management or finance role.
  • Strong administration and communication skills.
  • Proficiency, at an advanced level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft programs (Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi-tasking and delivering work on time.
  • Ability to work productively despite multiple interruptions.
  • Demonstrated trust and integrity in dealing with financial data and reporting.
  • Provides consistent and professional support to all team members.
  • Creates an environment of learning, enjoyment and involvement.
  • Maintains a high customer service focus.
  • Is flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested.
  • Maintains high team focus by showing co-operation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.
  • Contributes ideas and suggestions to enhance operational procedures in the hotel.
