Our organisation is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team. As a critical component of our global tax compliance and risk management strategy, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Global Tax Compliance & Reporting:

The ideal candidate will oversee tax compliance and ensure accuracy and timely submission of tax returns. This will involve reviewing tax returns prepared by external service providers and collaborating with internal teams to identify tax implications.

  • Preparation of tax provisions:

They will also prepare tax provisions for financial reporting purposes, including current and deferred tax calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, and effective tax rate analysis.

  • Project Level and Transactional Tax Support:

The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on tax structuring and tax assumptions for new development projects and transactions. They will collaborate with project development, investment, finance, and legal teams to ensure favourable tax positions.

  • Commercial and Legal Contract Reviews:

They will review commercial and legal contracts to identify tax implications and ensure that our interests are protected.

  • Tax Risk Management:

The tax professional will manage and coordinate external tax advisors globally, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of tax services. They will identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across all jurisdictions and company activities.

  • Robust Tax Documentation:

They will develop and maintain robust tax documentation and controls to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in multinational environments, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
