Senior Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services in our team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the development of emerging clinicians, working across a variety of settings, and supporting clients with sensory processing and movement, personal care, sleep, and independent living skills.

Your Impact As a Senior Occupational Therapist:

  • Manage a varied caseload, delivering tailored assessments and interventions that align with best practice.
  • Lead program planning, evaluation, and goal-setting in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Integrate services across disciplines to provide holistic, person-centred support.
  • Mentor and supervise Occupational Therapists, providing performance feedback and guidance.
  • Deliver training and education programs to internal staff and external partners.
Required Skills And Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Expertise in a range of OT interventions and the ability to adapt them to individual needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive, child- and family-centred practices.
  • Experience supporting clients with high and complex needs, and mentoring others in this space.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop other clinicians.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
