About the Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Affairs Specialist.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to work in new and innovative ways that recognise First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria. You will undertake regulatory investigations, conduct compliance and enforcement action under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006, and contribute to the training for Authorised Officers and Aboriginal Heritage Officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compiling prosecution briefs of evidence
  • Preparing reports
  • Contributing to internal policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in conducting investigations in a compliance, regulatory or law enforcement environment
  • Critical analysis and report writing skills
  • Verbal, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
