About the Position

Seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, repair, and improvement of our commercial laundry facility.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 38 hours per week. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Scheduling and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate and supervise contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs or installations.
  • WHS Compliance: Ensure adherence to WHS standards, company policies, and environmental regulations.
  • Staff Training: Train and guide maintenance staff on correct equipment operation and care.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Recommend and implement equipment upgrades and efficiency improvements.
  • Production Support: Liaise with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize output.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade Qualification: Relevant trade qualification or equivalent work experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
  • Industrial Experience: Proven experience in maintaining industrial machinery in a manufacturing, laundry, or production environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with PLCs and basic fault-finding (B&R, Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • WHS Requirements: Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
