We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Operations Specialist to join our team at the West Cliff Coal Preparation Plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of coal products.

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, your primary responsibilities will include controlling the plant process, inspecting equipment, monitoring coal preparation processes, diagnosing and resolving performance issues, performing routine mechanical maintenance and cleaning tasks, and using SAP to requisition spare parts and equipment.

">

Key to this role is your ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal, while maintaining a focus on safety standards and identifying non-conformances. You must also be proactive in troubleshooting issues and working under pressure, with strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

">Required Skills and Qualifications">

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter) or Boiler Maker qualification;
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP;
  • A forklift licence and dogging and rigging experience would be highly desirable;
  • The ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends.
