About the Opportunity

At John Paul College, we are committed to providing a supportive and inspiring environment for our kindergarten students. As a Kindergarten Learning Assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to children to ensure their individual needs are met.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social development and community spirit.
  • Support children with diverse developmental and learning needs by providing tailored support and resources.
  • Prepare materials and resources to enhance classroom activities and promote hands-on learning.
  • Supervise students during play and other kindergarten activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the well-being and development of each child.
About You

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who are committed to early childhood education. As a successful candidate, you will possess a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification, as well as strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting young children in their learning journey.

Essential Requirements
  • A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting young children in their learning journey.
  • A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card Services, Queensland).
  • A valid First Aid qualification.
