About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Drill Fitters to join our Field Maintenance teams across our fly-in-fly-out operations. As a Heavy Diesel Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and attending breakdowns of complex diesel machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel machinery and equipment, including diggers and drills
  • Identifying and rectifying faults during inspections and following specific maintenance programs
  • Daily inspections on mobile fleet, including Liebherr 9150, R996B, and 9400 Excavators and Atlas Copco Pit Viper 271 and D65 Drills
  • Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment
  • Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assisting in the implementation of new initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong technical background in heavy mechanical fitting, with a focus on diesel drills and equipment. You will have a high level of technical experience and be able to diagnose and repair complex faults. You will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
