About the Role
Thiess is seeking a skilled Drill Fitter - Heavy Equipment Specialist to join our Field Maintenance Team, working a 14/7 Roster to maintain a fleet of Epiroc D65 and CAT MD6310 Drills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of rotary blast hole drill rigs and heavy mining equipment.
- Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times.
About You
- Hold a Trade Certificate as a Plant Mechanic or equivalent.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Have post-trade experience working on blast hole drill rigs.
- Commit to safety.
- Be highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
