Our Role
  • As a member of the care team, you will participate in delivering services to residents and their family members, identifying and responding to their diverse spiritual needs with exceptional sensitivity, compassion, knowledge and skill.

The position involves establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, providing spiritual care support to residents, their families and staff, and contributing to an integrated team working within a supportive framework.

This is an excellent opportunity for early career practitioners or those looking to start their career in pastoral care to apply for a supervised role. Support is available for completing clinical pastoral care training.

About You
  • You are a motivated professional who values the importance of upholding the dignity of people living in residential aged care and making a meaningful contribution to their wellbeing.
  • A tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counselling or a similar field is essential.
  • Clinical Pastoral Education and/or equivalent experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or community care is also required.
  • Established skills in preparation, creation, leadership and facilitation of meaningful rituals are necessary.
  • Eligibility for SCA certified membership is also desired.
