As a Facilities Officer (Groundsperson), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the school's grounds and facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the effective operation of our educational institution.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of the importance of maintaining high standards in facilities management.

You will be responsible for performing daily grounds and maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and maintenance of school buildings and surrounds.

This will involve mowing, trimming, and fertilizing lawns and turf areas, repairing and maintaining irrigation systems, and weeding, planting, and fertilizing gardens.

You will also be responsible for outdoor cleaning and the use of high-pressure water cleaners, assembling, moving, and relocating furniture, and assisting with the set-up of spaces for school events.

Gardening and general caretaking of school buildings and gardens are also key responsibilities of this role.

In addition to these duties, you will work with other grounds staff as required and assist with rubbish and waste management.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team.

A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 is a requirement of the position, and you must also be able to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.

This is a term-time continuing position for up to 38 hours per week or the opportunity for a job share arrangement for the right applicant.
