About the Role

Nurses classified at this level provide casual nursing services based in mental health community teams. This role is working within the community team; Eastern and Western Mental Health Nurses Services. Working at this level consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience.

Within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy and National Standards and in a manner consistent with the stated vision and values of SA Health, the Nurse under the guidance of, or with access to a Level 2 / 3 Mental Health Nurse, uses the process of nursing to deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to consumers within a designated practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports.
  • To participate in continuous professional development to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
  • To collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practising certificate.
  • Must hold a qualification in mental health nursing equivalent to a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or Masters.
  • Must hold a driver's licence.

The estimated salary range for this position is $36.65 - $50.01 per hour plus 25% casual leave loading.
