Overview:

The role of Structural Engineering Team Lead involves overseeing a high-performing team, applying technical knowledge, and shaping standards. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid role that combines field inspections, mentoring, and technical strategy, with direct influence over people, process, and quality.

This is a rare chance to develop a team of inspectors (Registered Builders) and conduct or support complex inspections as needed. Your knowledge of engineering principles will be applied to real-world inspection scenarios, delivering internal training and onboarding programs for inspectors.

You will be responsible for owning and improving QA systems, SOPs, and compliance documentation, while providing internal guidance on technical queries, disputes, and high-stakes reports. Collaboration with the leadership team on continuous improvement and service quality is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Degree or Diploma in Structural Engineering
  • Familiarity with the NCC, WA Guide to Standards & Tolerances, and AS 4349
  • A skilled communicator with a pragmatic approach
  • Confidence navigating issues and standing behind professional judgment
