About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer/Package Lead, who is ready to step in to a project technical leadership role, providing excellent support to the Project Manager, managing the commercial and technical aspects of large structural packages of work within Brownfields projects.

Drawing on your learnings from a successful career in oil and gas project delivery, you will be self-motivated to mentor project team members to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges.

About You

You come with tertiary qualifications in the engineering field, with at least 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry. We are looking for someone:

• Recognized as a technical expert in Structural engineering.
• Who is a leader of people with several years of supervisory experience.
• Commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", capable of managing the technical and commercial aspects of a significant package of work.
• Experienced in the management of risk during the design process to ensure safety, technical and commercial requirements are achieved within the plan.
• Proven experience with delivering packages of work involving design, re-assessment & life extension of offshore fixed structures in the Oil & Gas Industry including ultimate strength, reliability and fit-for-purpose assessments.
• Proven experience in end-to-end management of structural brownfields projects.
• Proven capability of managing medium sized projects up to $10m in value, acting as focal point for timely resolution of technical and commercial issues.
• Fluent with industry standards, and software programmes such as SACS, SESAM.
• Sound understanding of design processes, manufacturing, onshore and offshore construction, transportation and installation methods.
